Wood dyed jet black and gleaming

It is a tree with a deep, jet-black color and a rich luster, prized for its exceptionally high density—the wood is so heavy and hard that it sinks in water. Its outstanding durability and beautifully polished surface make it highly valued for luxury furniture and sculptures, as well as for musical instruments such as piano black keys and violin fingerboards.
