It is said that the quality is the best among the cherry blossoms that exist in Japan with water resistant and insecticidal homeland. Ukiyo-e prints and book printing wood in the Edo period were made of Yamazakura. In modern times it is also used for luxury furniture, piano exterior, altar material and the main conference room desk of the parliament building.
