Famous materials of furniture unknown

It is also known as African rosewood. It is highly durable and particularly resistant to insect damage. Because it yields wide boards, it has long been used for high-end furniture. Its balanced sound makes it suitable for guitars and percussion instruments, and it is also used for the body of Japanese taiko drums.
