An exquisitely rare, ultra-premium material: the mystical timber.

This refers to persimmon trees that have developed ink-like black patterns in the center of the wood. These black patterns are formed by a reaction between the persimmon tannin and minerals in the soil in trees over 150 years old, making them extremely rare and highly valuable.
The wood is incredibly resistant to wear; there are reports that weaving shuttles made from black persimmon can withstand 1,000 hours of use without needing replacement.
