The only wood with purple skin
One of the hardest woods in the world. It is brown immediately after being cut, but turns purple as it is exposed to the air. Highly durable and insect-resistant, it takes on a rich luster when polished. Its beautiful coloring makes it suitable for furniture, decorative items, carving, flooring, and billiard cues.
