重厚なアフリカ材

マメ科の木で材質は硬く極めて重い。耐久性は極めて高く、腐朽、虫害に強く弾性があるため、外装材として重要な材である。また、家具材としても重厚な仕上がりとなる。

Heavy African wood

A leguminous tree with extremely hard, very heavy wood. It is highly durable, resistant to rot and insect damage, and elastic, making it an important material for exterior applications. It also produces a substantial, solid finish when used for furniture.
