Wood in hues that evoke the timeless beauty of nature

Buried wood, also known as Jindai wood, is wood that has been buried by earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions, or other events. With oxygen cut off, it remains undecomposed and unrotted for hundreds or thousands of years, becoming partially carbonized. It is an extremely rare and valuable timber; when carbonization continues for tens of thousands more years, it becomes coal. Ash wood changes from its original pale color to a grayish brown, developing a rich, distinctive character. It is used for furniture and small decorative items.
